Abyssal Lapidary Release Date
The Short Answer
There is no confirmed Abyssal Lapidary release date. Neither developer Light Worm nor publisher XD (XD Inc.) has announced one, and the Steam store page shows only “Coming Soon”. This page will never guess a date — it only reports what is official, and it will be updated the moment a date is revealed.
What Is Confirmed So Far
While the full release date is unknown, the run-up to launch already has a real, dated timeline:
- October 16, 2026
The free demo launched on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest — a standalone listing separate from the base game. The developers describe it as four or more hours in a single playthrough, roughly a quarter of the full game.
- October 23, 2026
Demo patch v0.2.15 shipped, adding three-slot autosaves, tool suitability and efficiency hints, expanded faceting estimates and cut filters, adjustable ring bands, design save and load, and more accessibility aids.
- October 24, 2026
Wishlist momentum kept climbing. Abyssal Lapidary reached its highest Steam wishlist position yet at around #431, with roughly 5,352 followers. Demo reviews sit in the mostly positive range, about 82–84% positive.
- November 3, 2026
The in-game jewellery showcase event closes. The developers are running a showcase with an entry deadline of November 3, 2026 — a sign the demo remains the active focus for now.
How to Play Before Release
The demo is the only way to play Abyssal Lapidary today. It is free, permanent so far (no removal date announced), and keeps the systems that make the loop work: the ore merchant, appraisal, extraction tools, faceting, jewelry and the display cabinets. Demo saves are meant to carry into the full release, though the developers warn that final numbers may change.
